About Snake Escape Puzzle: Free Online Slither Escape Game
Snake Escape is a free online puzzle game where you free tangled snakes from a grid. Each snake slides straight out in the direction its head is facing, but it can only leave when its path is clear. Work out the order, plan your moves, and get every snake out before you run out of lives.
The puzzles get harder as you progress. The grids grow larger, with more and longer snakes, so each new challenge asks you to think a few steps further ahead. Every puzzle is designed to be solvable, so there are no impossible boards.
Hints show you a snake you can free, and the Hammer breaks a snake apart when you’re stuck. You start with 3 lives and lose one each time you tap a blocked snake. Finish with all three lives left for 3 stars. Your progress and stars are saved in your browser.
Snake Escape works on phones, tablets, laptops and desktops, with no download or sign-up. The sound effects, animated snakes and colourful board make it a relaxing brain teaser for short breaks or long puzzling sessions.
How to play
- Goal: Free every snake from the grid before you run out of lives.
- Tap a snake: It slides straight out in the direction its head points, and its body follows.
- Plan the order: A snake can only leave if its path is clear. Free the snakes that block others first.
- Lives: Tapping a blocked snake costs one life. The snake in the way flashes so you can see what’s blocking it.
- Hint (3 per level): Highlights a snake you can free right now.
- Hammer (2 per level): Tap the hammer, then a snake to break it apart. This removes it without it escaping.
- Stars: Clear the level with 3 lives left for 3 stars, 2 lives for 2 stars, or 1 life for 1 star.
